Setelah merilis beberapa single ("[[Bonamana (song)|Bonamana]]", "[[Mr. Simple (song)|Mr. Simple]]", "[[Opera (Super Junior song)|Opera]]", "[[Sexy, Free & Single (song)|Sexy, Free & Single]]"), merilis album Jepang pertama mereka pada 24 uli 2013, bertepatan dengan minggu yang sama konser [[Super Show 5]] mereka di [[Tokyo]]. Meskipun tidak melakukan promosi di Jepang, namun semua lagu mereka terjual dengan baik. Kebanyakan berada di posisi kedua teratas tangga lagu Mingguan Oricon <ref>http://www.oricon.co.jp/prof/artist/381232/ranking/cd_single/</ref> dan tiga diantaranya menerima sertifikat Emas dari [[Recording Industry Association of Japan|RIAJ]] karena telah terjual lebih dari seratus ribu kopi di Jepang. Perilisan lagu mereka di Jepang kebanyakan bertepatan dengan minggu mereka mengadakan konser di negara tersebut.

== Promosi ==
Super Junior telah merilis acara di Tokyo dan Osaka selama Agustus dan mempromosikan 'Hero' selama [[Super Show 5]] di Tokyo Dome, Tokyo,27 dan 28 Juli dan and melalui A-Nation. Super Junior melakukan jumpa penggemar dengan anggota resmi klub penggemar E.L.F Jepang di [[Saitama Super Arena]] pada September untuk mempromosikan album. Sehari sebelum dirilis, stasiun Shinjuku dipenuhi dengan iklan promosi Super Junior, begitu juga di Shibuya Tsutaya.

Sebulan sebelum dirilis, "Hero" telah berada di posisi #3 tangga pre-order Tower Records. Pada 1 Juli, versi hanya-CD sudah terjual habis di toko E.L.F Jepang.
