Pada bulan September 2009 diumumkan bahwa akan dimulainya proses produksi film dengan judul ''Knockout'', namuntetapi kemudian judul itu diubah menjadi ''Haywire'' sebelum dimulai. Skenario ditulis dengan mengambil seting lokasi di [[Dublin]]. Pengambilan gambar dimulai pada 2 Februari 2010 sampai dengan 25 Maret 2010 di [[Irlandia]] dengan anggaran sekitar $25 juta. Secara umum, film ini menuai pujian ulasan positif dan para kritikus. Situs pengumpul ulasan [[Rotten Tomatoes]] memberikan skor 80% berdasarkan 181 ulasan.
