Bulan Juni 2012 adalah bulan dimana mini album Krewella dirilis dengan nama Play Hard. Hampir bersamaan dengan Play Hard, mini album Killin' It yang berbau reggae juga diluncurkan. Setelah pertunjukan mereka di Ultra Music festival 2013, Billboard meramalkan bahwa Krewella akan semakin hits. Album debut mereka, [[Get Wet (album Krewella)|Get Wet]], berada di 10 besar Billboard Hot 200 pada minggu pertama. Kesuksesan album inilah yang membuat mereka semakin dilirik penggemar musik elektronik. Bekerja sama dengan produser dari [[Cash Cash]], Krewella menciptakan singel Live for the Night, singel yang paling populer dari album Get Wet ini. Trio ini juga merilis remix pada tahun yang sama dengan menggandeng band kenamaan, [[Fall Out Boy]].
