Munisipalitas berpenduduk terbanyak selanjutnya di Tokachi berada tak jauh dari kota ini, yaitu di kota [[Otofuke, Hokkaido|Otofuke]], dengan jumlah penduduk kurang dari sepertiga jumlah penduduk kota Obihiro.
