Asada berlatih di Jepang, Tapi pergi ke U.S. pada bulan Agustus 2006 untuk dilatih oleh [[Rafael Arutunian]] di [[Lake Arrowhead, California]]. Disana dia bisa berlatih dengan baik tanpa terganggu oleh ramai nya rink di jepang dan tekanan dari media jepang.
