Mosquito adalah salah satu dari beberapa pesawat operasional garis depan dari era Perang Dunia II yang akan dibangun hampir seluruhnya dari kayu dan, dengan demikian, dijuluki "The Wooden Ajaib". Mosquito juga dikenal sayang sebagai "Mossie" untuk kru nya.
