DiPada tahun 2009, [[JB (penyanyi)|JB]] dan [[Jr. (penyanyi)|Jr.]] diaudisi secara perorangan untuk masuk [[JYP EntertaintmentEntertainment]]. Dengan kemampuan menari yang menakjubkan dan wajah yang tampan, mereka menjadi pemenang dalan Audisi Terbuka ke-5 dan menjadi trainee di JYP EntertaintmentEntertainment.
 
Selama masa trainee, JB dan Jr. muncul di dalam MV [[San E (rapper)|San E]] berjudul "Tasty San".
 
DiPada tahun 2012, mereka berdua mendapatkan peran di dalam drama [[Korean Broadcasting System|KBS]] berjudul [[Dream High 2]] yang merupakan sekuel dari [[Dream High]].
