'''Catur korespondensi''' ialah salah satu jenis permainan catur, biasanya dimainkan melalui [[penjelajah web koresponden]], melalui [[surat elektronik]] maupun [[kartu pos]].
 
Catur korespondensi memungkinkan orang atau klub tertentu yang terpisah jauh secara geografis bermain satu sama lain tanpa bertemu muka. Hubungan jauh tersebut hanyalah salah satu dari sejumlah daya tarik catur koresponden.
 
Turnamen catur korespondensi biasanya dilakukan di bawah kewenangan badan pengatur resmi, yang terpenting adalah [[International Correspondence Chess Federation]] ([[ICCF]]), yang berafiliasi dengan [[FIDE]], organisasi catur internasional. DiPada tahun-tahun terkini, penggunaan program catur yang kuat telah memuncurkan tantangan baru untuk organisasi seperti ICCF dan [[U.S. Chess Federation]], yang mengharuskan keputusan-keputusan yang terkadangkadang-kadang kontroversial atas dapat diterimanya program tersebut dalam permainan korespondensi resmi.

Persuatan Cakir Korespondensi Indonesia (PERCAKI) didirikan tanggal 1 Februari 2017 sebagai wadah pemain catur korespondensi Indonesia datam International Chess Correspondensi Federation (ICCF).
