Berwarna jingga atau kuning, kenyal dan berbentuk mirip corong. Di bawah "topi", tekstur jamur terlihat bergelombang. Jamur ini berbau seperti buah [[aprikot]] dan terasa sedikit pedas, jamur ini sangat baik untuk dimakan. [[Riset]] mengatakan jamur ini memiliki sifat [[insektisida]] yang tidak mematikan bagi manusia namun dapat melindungi jamur dari [[serangga]] dan [[bakteri]].
 
Jamur ini dapat ditemukan di hutan primer kawasan TNKS daerah Sungai Piring Desa Napalicin Kecamatan Rawas Hulu Sumatera Selatan. Jamur ini dapat dimakan ketika masih muda karena masih lunak
