==Investigasi perusakan artikel-artikel yang berhubungan dengan Indosat dan MNC==
Terima kasih untuk masukan Mba Diah dari Indosat. Karena melihat laporan bahwa perusakan ini terjadi berulangkali, maka saya berinisiatif menelusuri catatan penyuntingan artikel Indosat, yang akhirnya menemukan sumber perusakan utama ada di artikel [http://en.wiki-indonesia.club/wiki/Indosat Indosat di Wikipedia Bahasa Inggris].
Ada dua pihak yang terlibat dalam perusakan ini, antara lain pengguna [http://en.wiki-indonesia.club/wiki/User_talk:Lmg_003 Lmg 003] dan sekelompok orang yang mengunakan IP address 206.53.152.XXX. Nomornya konsisten dari 206.53.152.4, 206.53.152.167, 206.53.152.1, dst.. Dan setelah ditelusuri, IP address ini berasal dari Blackberry. Yang berarti sulit bagi kita untuk melacak siapa orangnya.
Kembali saya telusuri setiap kontribusi dari Lmg 003, ternyata bukan hanya menyasar artikel Indosat, namun juga artikel [http://en.wiki-indonesia.club/wiki/Media_Nusantara_Citra MNC], [http://en.wiki-indonesia.club/wiki/Bhakti_Investama Bhakti Investama], [http://en.wiki-indonesia.club/wiki/Global_TV_(Indonesia) Global TV], dan [http://en.wiki-indonesia.club/wiki/Ancol_Dreamland Ancol]. Semua dengan tujuan sama, menyisipkan informasi bahwa Indosat telah dibeli oleh MNC.
Karena informasi ini perlahan-lahan dimasukkan sejak 2012, maka mungkin para pengguna lain di Wikipedia English kesulitan menyadarinya. Dan akhirnya informasi di artikel MNC, Global, Ancol, dan Indosat menjadi saling menguatkan. Mungkin inilah yang membuat usaha Mbak Diah untuk membenarkan informasi kepemilikan saham Indosat menjadi sulit.
Di Wikipedia Bahasa Indonesia pun, beberapa bulan setelahnya, serangan yang mirip terjadi di artikel Indosat dan MNC oleh pengguna-pengguna anonim yang menggunakan IP address 206.53.152.XXX (blackberry), juga dengan cara serupa: Menyerang sekaligus beberapa artikel yang berhubungan dengan Indosat dan MNC sehingga seolah artikel tersebut saling menguatkan. Apalagi informasi di Wikipedia Bahasa Inggris juga telah memuat informasi tersebut.
===Saran===
Usaha Mbak Diah sudah bagus saat menginformasikan kesalahan tersebut. Namun seperti yang ditegaskan oleh Serenity dan Chris Woodrich, sangat penting bagi Indosat untuk menyediakan informasi yang relevan agar bisa menjadi rujukan bagi para pengguna Wikipedia dalam menyunting artikel Indosat. Tentu saja artikel Indosat di Wikipedia bukanlah milik dan monopoli Indosat. Pengguna lain juga akan melengkapinya dari berbagai sumber, misalnya saja surat kabar.
Jadi kami juga mengharapkan banyak data yang penting untuk diketahui masyarakat juga diinformasikan dengan jelas kepada jurnalis. Jurnalis akan merangkainya menjadi berita, dan berita ini akan digunakan sebagai referensi oleh para Wikipediawan.
===Pembuatan account===
Untuk mempermudah Mbak Diah dan teman-teman dalam mengoreksi informasi mengenai Indosat di Wikipedia, saya sarankan buatlah account pribadi dengan [http://wiki-indonesia.club/w/index.php?title=Istimewa:Masuk_log&returnto=Halaman+Utama&type=signup mendaftar ke Wikipedia]. Proses ini hanya akan memakan waktu kurang dari 30 detik. Silakan gunakan nama pribadi sebagai username, bukan Indosat (karena nama brand pasti akan langsung kita blokir). Menyuntinglah dengan semangat kesetaraan sebagai sesama Wikipediawan, bukan sebagai wakil atau Humas Indosat.
Walaupun pengguna yang belum terdaftar tidak dilarang melakukan suntingan, namun biasanya mereka kurang begitu dihargai oleh pengguna lain yang sudah terdaftar. Hal ini tidak bisa disalahkan karena dalam satu hari para pengguna terdaftar harus menghadapi ratusan tindakan merusak oleh pengguna tak terdaftar. Jadi saat Mbak Diah mengubah informasi di artikel Indosat yang terlihat tidak konsisten dengan artikel MNC dan Global, misalnya, Mbak Diah akan dinilai sebagai perusak juga. Inilah yang membuat suntingan Mbak Diah dan kawan-kawan Humas Indosat lainnya terus-menerus mental, dibatalkan oleh pengguna lain.
Membuat akun baru memiliki banyak keuntungan. Mbak Diah akan lebih mudah menghubungi para pengurus yang memang sudah ditugaskan memelihara artikel-artikel di Wikipedia dengan berbagai wewenangnya untuk memblokir perusak dan melindungi artikel dari suntingan iseng pengguna tak terdaftar.
===Bantuan pengurus===
Apa yang terjadi di Wikipedia English di luar kewenangan pengurus Wikipedia Bahasa Indonesia (silakan hubungi pengurus di Wikipedia Bahasa Inggris untuk segera memblokir Lmg 003 agar tidak merusak lagi di masa depan). Namun untuk kasus perusakan informasi di Wikipedia Bahasa Indonesia, kita bisa memberi bantuan dengan melindungi artikel Indosat, MNC, dan beberapa artikel terkait dari penyuntingan anonim.
Namun sebagai akibatnya, sebagai penyunting anonim mbak Diah dan teman-teman juga akan tidak bisa menyunting artikel tersebut. Jadi sekali lagi saya sarankan mendaftarlah di Wikipedia Bahasa Indonesia, dan kami akan merasa sangat berterima kasih jika pihak humas Indosat mau membantu memeriksa secara berkala dan menjaga artikel Indosat, MNC, dan artikel terkait dari perusakan serupa di masa depan. :)
