:Itu yang harus kita cari bersama, mumpung bung Mersault ada di Belanda, ada data terkait dengan Aceh dan Malahayati yang lebih lengkap tidak? Saya sedang cari-cari, terutama masa-masa kejayaan Aceh. Yang saya tau juga saat itu sudah terjadi perang besar antara Aceh dan Portugis. Malahayati juga terlibat dalam perang-perang yang terjadi, apakah itu melawan kerajaan sekitar Aceh, ataupun melawan Portugis. Dan rasanya juga [[Cornelis de Houtman]] tidak mewakili VOC saat itu, karena lautan masih dikuasai Portugis. Ia sedang mencari jalan, mungkin atas biaya kerajaan Belanda, agar dapat menghindari monopoli Portugis. Kelihatannya memang Cornelis de Houtman baru cari-cari dagangan saja. [[VOC]] kan baru didirikan pada tahun 1602. Orang Portugis sih memang sudah berperang kira-kira 100 tahun sebelumnya.
