Pada tanggal 26 Januari 2017 di artikel [http://www.sciencealert.com/hydrogen-has-been-turned-into-a-metal-for-the-first-time-ever] terdapat link ke jurnal oleh Silvera yang mengklaim timnya telah membuktikan keberadaan logam hidrogen. Laporan tersebut diterbitkan oleh Science yang saya tidak memiliki akses untuknya; saya hanya bisa membagi url tsb. untuk penyunting.
Selain itu, pada tanggal 23 Februari 2017, situs yang sama menerbitkan berita mengenai hilangnya sampel hidrogen logam Silvera bersama link untuk kontroversi perihal hidrogen ini; bisa dilihat di [http://www.sciencealert.com/the-world-s-only-metallic-hydrogen-sample-has-disappeared].
