Setelah babak final selesai, banyak warganet yang memprotes atas kemenangan Belinda. Warganet meramaikan media sosial dengan unggahan kekecewaan mereka karena kecewa Belinda menjadi juara dikarenakan banyak penonton yang percaya Kiki yang seharusnya menjadi juara. Warganet menyoroti keterampilan memasak Belinda yang tidak lebih baik dari pada Kiki, mulai dari Belinda yang kesulitan memotong daging domba saat kompetisi lantas menerima bantuan Kiki, hingga hidangan penutup yang disajikan Belinda saat ronde pertama. Dugaan ini diperkuat dengan adanya fakta bahwa kontestan keturunan Tionghoa-Indonesia banyak memenangkan kejuaraan MasterChef Indonesia di musim-musim sebelumnya. Pihak MasterChef Indonesia juga dituduh warganet melakukan diskriminasi sosial. Belinda adalah seorang lulusan dari sekolah kuliner ternama, yaitu Le Cordon Bleu, Selandia Baru. Sementara itu, kompetitornya, yaitu Kiki hanyalah lulusan SMKN 8 Medan jurusan Tata Boga. Banyak alumni dari Le Cordon Bleu yang menjadi pemenang MasterChef Indonesia di musim sebelumnya. Hal ini menyebabkan banyak warganet percaya bahwa pihak MCI memenangkan kontestan bukan berdasarkan kemampuan memasaknya, melainkan etnis dan latar belakang pendidikannya.<ref name=":0" />
 
Kehadiran [[Ganjar Pranowo]] dan istrinya Siti Atiqoh untuk menyerahkan hadiah kepada para kontestan membuat heran warganet. Pasalnya, sulit menemukan urgensi Ganjar Pranowo untuk hadir di acara tersebut dan menyebabkan acara MCI Season 11 terkesan tidak netral politik.
