Suku Dactyloidae kebanyakan tinggal di atas pohon atau tanaman. Suku ini memiliki beberapa persamaan dengan suku [[Gekkonidae]], di antaranya adalah struktur kaki yang cocok untuk memanjat pohon atau permukaan dinding. Jenis-jenis dari suku ini adalah pemakan serangga, tetapi beberapa spesies juga memakan buah dari pohon atau tanaman, termasuk bunga dan cairan (nektar) dari bunga yang dimakan.
