== Sejarah ==

Konsulat ini ditingkatkan statusnya menjadi [[legasi]] pada tanggal 17 Februari 1950, ketika Presiden [[Elpidio Quirino]] menunjuk Manuel V. Gallego, yang sebelumnya menjabat sebagai Sekretaris Pendidikan, untuk ditugaskan di Indonesia. Pada tanggal 20 April 1951, Quirino mengangkat mantan anggota parlemen, Domingo Imperial, sebagai Duta Besar Filipina untuk Indonesia yang pertama, dan kedutaannya ditingkatkan menjadi kedutaan besar penuh. == Bangunan ==
Kedutaan Besar Filipina di Jakarta telah berada di lokasi yang sama sejak berdirinya misi diplomatik Filipina di Jakarta pada 1949. Meskipun demikian, gedung kedutaan yang asli dihancurkan pada tahun 2010 untuk dibangun kantor kedutaan baru yang lebih representatif.
 
Pembangunan gedung baru dimulai dengan peletakan batu pertama pada tanggal 20 Maret 2014 dengan rancangan arsitek Azhari Rasuman untuk dikerjakan oleh PT Dekotama Ciptakreasi.<ref name=":0" /> Rancang bangun kantor kedutaan baru menggabungkan desain ''[[bahay na bato]]'' dan [[Bahay kubo|''bahay kubo'']] sembari tetap mempertahankan fasad bergaya [[Arsitektur Hindia Baru]] sebagaimana bangunan lainnya di daerah [[Menteng, Menteng, Jakarta Pusat|Menteng]]. Kedutaan Besar Filipina di Jakarta saat ini dipimpin oleh Duta Besar Gina Alagon Jamoralin, yang diangkat oleh [[Presiden Filipina|Presiden]] [[Bongbong Marcos]] pada 1 September 2022.
