Pada waktu mendiang lahir, Tiku secara nominal dalam pendudukan Jepang. Di masa Belanda, wilayah ini masih masuk ke dalam "Priaman, Tikoe en de Danau Districten" (https://niadilova.wordpress.com/2015/03/30/minang-saisuak-216-kepada-distrik-kelas-i-lubuk-sikaping-tuanku-sultan-syair-alam-syah-1929/). Kabupaten Padang Pariaman secara resmi baru ada tahun 1956 (sebelumnya dinamakan Kabupaten Samudera, lihat https://padangpariamankab.go.id/2016/05/30/sejarah-padang-pariaman/). Saya usul tempat lahir dibuat di Tiku saja, tanpa embel-embel Padang Pariaman; tapi kalau "Tiku, Pariaman" rasanya tepat juga, dengan merujuk Pariaman sebagai suatu wilayah budaya alih-alih administratif.
