Baris 1:
Hi welcome to the Indonesian Wikipedia! Are you Polish and do you speak Indonesian? Well nice to see you around here anyway. I think Poles are a nice Central or Eastern people. Especially when I compare Poles with the sometimes arrogant Czechs ..., not that I don't like them on the contrary. They are just not as friendly as Poles. I hope you are not a Czech ;-) Meursault2004 10:25, 23 Jun 2004 (UTC)
:Okay I'll answer in English then, as my German is poor ;-) But my Dutch is much better! Well Czechs are sometimes arrogant and annoying but I must admit they can play soccer very well! They have so far the best team in the EC 2004 in Portugal, the only one that never lost or tied ;-)
:Yes indeed I was rather surprised that you can alter Indonesians text without knowing the language :-) You must be able to recognise patterns well. Luckily Indonesian doesn't have any cases, so it is fairly easy to learn ;-)
:The Bleszinsky family is the most famous Polish family in Indonesia. There are at least three movie stars coming from this family: Marek, Theresia and Tamara. The father of this three persons was a naturalised Polish while the mother is Indonesian (I think Sundanese). He recently passed away (some two years ago).
:You can try www.google.com to find German-Indonesian and English-Indonesian dictionaries. I found quite a few.
:I'm also interested in Polish history and especially the relationship between Germans and Poles. I think this is a love-hate relationship. Many Germans are of Polish (or other Slavic) descent, but they tend to deny it. It reminds me of the relationships between some peoples in Indonesia.
:Well see you later! Meursault2004 21:56, 23 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Well, the East-Timor conflict is not yet wholly solved. Although the area has become independent, there are still some (minor) problems with Indonesia. These problems concern the properties of Indonesians in East-Timor and smuggling between Indonesia and the now independent territory. The East-Timorese are also sueing Wiranto, a former Indonesian general. The problem is: Wiranto is a president candidate who will run for election next July the 5th ... Oh one more thing, what is a province in Polish? Is it called a voivodship in English? Can you tell me the correct Polish word please? Well bye ;-) Meursault2004 23:30, 24 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Prowinz - ? - ?

:Indonesia is divided in several so called "Daerah Tingkat I (satu)", which roughly can be translated as "First Level Regions". Not all them are "provinces" though. There are two more less autonomous areas, and the capital city Jakarta, which is treated as a province and is called a special territory. The rest are 'ordinary' provinces. These are called provinsi or propinsi. The former is the official spelling.
:Then each province is divided in several rural and urban districts, which are both "Daerah TIngkat II (dua)" or "Second Level Regions". The rural districts are called "kabupaten" and the urban districts are called kotamadya or kota otonom. The kabupaten is usually translated as "regency" in English, while kotamadya is translated as "municipality".
:Furthermore each district is divided in several sub-districts which are called "kecamatan". Each kecamatan, in turn is divided in several kelurahan (in urban areas) or desa (in rural areas). A kelurahan can be translated as "commune", while desa is usually translated as "village". Then each kelurahan is divided in several Rukun Warga (RW) (neighbourhood) which in turn is divided in several Rukun Tetangga (RT) ('street'). A desa is divided in several dusun, and each dusun is divided in several dukuh.
:The first and second level regions do have representatives in a local parlement (DPRD).
:So in brief Indonesia is divided as follow
:Provinsi - Kabupaten/Kotamadya - Kecamatan - Kelurahan/Desa - RW/Dusun - RT/Dukuh.
:So there are six levels of administrative divisions. I hope this was clear. You can ask again in any case it wasn't clear. Bye Meursault2004 00:23, 3 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Sorbian
Can you tell me whether Sorbian is closer to Polish or Czech? Sorbian spelling surely resembles Czech spelling. Meursault2004 12:03, 4 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Polska. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Polska~idwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
Community Liaison, Wikimedia Foundation
