:: Ah ya, bener kalo gitu (gue..hehe). Sebenarnya sempet curiga juga, gini loh Dra, si propaganda ini menurut komunikasi hanya salah satu dari fallacies (alias [[kesesatan]]), salah satu loh ya, kekhususannya adalah penyesatan untuk "persuasive techniques". Si gambar yang ditaruh didepan, kalau benar merupakan oversimplification, keterangannya terlalu panjang untuk propaganda... yes, as I mentioned itu melanggar etika (see number 9) tapi "kurang tepat" kalo dibilang propaganda, alias '''ngga bulls eye''' lah. Kayak elo ngambil contoh gambar dari '''mamalia''' adalah '''paus''', bener sih pausnya mamalia, cuman kan ada '''sapi''' atau '''kucing''' yang lebih umum.

:Gambar yang "ditaruh di depan" maksudnya gambar paling atas ya? Saya sih gak masalah mo taruh gambar mana aja asal paling sesuai. Lebih bagus lagi kalo setiap teknik punya gambar contohnya. Dan kalo gambar ''fair use'' dicari gambar penggantinya yang public domain atau GFDL. Sama ''inline citations'', gw cuma bisa cari publikasi yang berbasis web karena gak punya buku-buku.

:: Uhm, tokoh yang digunakan tidak dikenal (sulit diasosiasikan sebagai baik atau jahat)
:: Alasan propaganda Amerika, hanya bisa digunakan kalau poster ini diletakkan di luar Amerika
:: Alasan propaganda militer, bisa digunakan, namun sebelah mana? apakah dilihat dari tokohnya? bajunya? atau tulisannya yang meminta untuk bergabung? Apa yang salah dengan permintaan untuk bergabung? Itu tidak menyesatkan karena permintaan untuk bergabung tidak ditutup-tutupi. Beda dengan iklan rokok (misalnya) yang tidak menunjukkan batang rokoknya, atau orang yang sedang merokok. atau menurut sisi ini iklan pepsoden. Propaganda bukan di gambar yang sedang tersenyum, namun dalam kalimat "Senyum Indonesia, senyum pepsodent" -- karena etikanya adalah senyum Indonesia yang jelas bukan senyum pepsodent, itu adalah senyumnya orang Indonesia.
Gambar yang paling atas justru propaganda pepsodent. Soal fair use jelas bisa, apalagi kalo tinggal ambil dari EN, namun hal itu tidak '''mendekati''' dengan masyarakat Indonesia yang notabene pembacanya wikipedia bahasa Indonesia. Semua iklan rokok di billboard besar yang mengasosiasikan rokok dengan persahabatan, kesehatan (olahraga voli, badminton dll) adalah propaganda, gue ngga punya stok. Kalau mau diganti yang fair use, silahkan.

Saya cuma meralat pernyataan Anda yang ''blatantly'' bilang gambar itu bukan propaganda dan gak ada di EN, biar gak salah, karena kredibilitas artikel ini sementara ada di kredibilitas kontributor utamanya. Ngomong tentang ''oversimplification'' saya kira lagi ngomongin isi artikel, ternyata ngomongin satu gambar itu-itu lagi.. Lagipula saya juga nyebutnya teknik ''direct order'' bukan ''oversimplification''. Pokoknya terserah deh mo pake gambar apa, kenapa gak sekalian banyak gambar kan.
:::Kembali ke isi, disayangkan, artikel ini sekarang masih dipersempit menjadi sudut pandang advertising dan humas, dan sudut pandang Indonesia.
