Felton lahir di [[Epsom]], putra pasangan Sharon dan Peter Felton. Ia bersekolah di Cranmore School di [[West Horsley]], sampai usia 13 tahun. Ia kemudian bersekolah di The [[Howard of Effingham School]] yang berlokasi di Effingham yang berfokus pada Sains. Felton adalah seorang penyanyi dan merupakan bagian dari paduan suara pada usia tujuh tahun. Dia adalah anggota dari empat paduan suara sekolah dan diberi kesempatan untuk menjadi bagian dari paduan suara [[Guildford Cathedral]] Choir.
