Pada tahun [[1989]], The Coca-Cola Company menyerahkan Columbia Pictures Entertainment kepada perusahaan [[Sony]] di [[Jepang]]. Pada tahun [[1991]], CPE berganti nama menjadi [[Sony Pictures Entertainment]] dan mendirikan [[Columbia TriStar Television]].
