Album studio keempat band, ''[[Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys|Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys]]'', dirilis pada 2010. Bryar meninggalkan band sebelum merilis album, dan pada 2012, mereka menambahkan kibordis tur James Dewees. Pada tahun 2012 dan 2013, band ini merilis serangkaian single yang telah mereka rekam pada tahun 2009 dengan judul kolektif Conventional Weapons. My Chemical Romance mengumumkan kevakumannya pada 22 Maret 2013. Pada tahun 2014, album hits terbesar berjudul May Death Never Stop You dirilis dan rilis ulang ulang tahun kesepuluh The Black Parade dirilis pada tahun 2016.
