Westerlund merupakan salah satu bintang terbesar yang diketahui dengan jari jari yang bervariasi, sekitar 1,530-2,550 ruas jari jari Matahari (1,06 × 10 9 -1,77 × 10 9 [[km]]; 7,1-11,9 [[au]]), atau sekitar 3,6-16,6 kali miliar matahari jika diisi Volumenya. Jika bintang ini ditempatkan di pusat tata surya kita, maka permukaannya akan menelan orbit Saturnus.
