Pada tahun 2008, agen TS Entertainment melihat Hyoseong di "Diary of Five Girls" dan dihubungi untuk audisi untuk perusahaan mereka. Hyoseong lulus audisi dan mulai hidup sebagai trainee pada TS Entertainment. TS Entertainment mengumumkan bahwa mereka akan memulai debutnya girlband dengan 4 anggota pada Oktober 2009.
