Three of the four coaches, [[:en:Blake Shelton|Blake Shelton]], [[:en:Chance the Rapper|Chance the Rapper]], and [[:en:Niall Horan|Niall Horan]], turned their chairs for her. Jessen chose to be part of Team Blake, making her one of ten artists by the end of the Blind Auditions on Team Blake, and one of a total of forty artists advancing to the Battles.
In the Battles, Jessen competed against EJ Michels as the two sang "[[:en:The Tracks of My Tears|The Tracks of My Tears]]" by [[:en:The Miracles|The Miracles]]. Shelton deemed Jessen the winner and advanced her to the Knockout rounds (while her opponent, Michels, was stolen to Team Niall).
During the Knockouts, Jessen was paired against teammate NOIVAS. In this round, Jessen chose to cover [[:en:Hozier (musician)|Hozier's]] "[[:en:Take Me to Church|Take Me to Church]]". While Shelton deemed NOIVAS the winner, Jessen was stolen by [[:en:Niall Horan|Niall Horan]]. This made her one of the final five artists (along with Gina Miles, Michael B, Ross Clayton, and Ryley Tate Wilson) on Team Niall, and one of a total of twenty artists to advance to the Playoffs.
