Banyak dari para pemimpin "Gereja yang Mengaku" ini, seperti [[Martin Niemöller]] dan [[Dietrich Bonhoeffer]], dimasukkan ke dalam [[kamp konsentrasi]], dan sebagian di antaranya mati di sana.
