Sebuah pusat produksi minyak zaitun (''olive oil'') yang bertarikh abad ke-7 SM ditemukan di Ekron dengan seratus pemerasan minyak zaitun besar, dan merupakan pusat produksi minyak zaitun paling lengkap dari zaman kuno yang pernah ditemukan.
