'''Geografi politik''' mengkaji hasil proses [[politik]] yang tidak merata secara keruangan dan cara struktur keruangan memengaruhi proses politik. Geografi politik menggunakan struktur tiga tingkat untuk keperluan analisis: kajian wilayah di bawah, kajian [[negara]] di tengah, dan kajian [[hubungan internasional]] (atau [[geopolitik]]) di atas. Ketiga subdisiplin geografi politik ini dapat disebut sebagai keterkaitan hubungan antara manusia, negara, dan wilayah.
