==Sejarah Polo di Indonesia==
1937 marks the start Indonesian Polo history as Batavia Polo Club is established at Jakarta’s premiere Lapangan Banteng. The founder of Batavia Polo Club was a dutch the the first game played was against Malayan Polo Team. As the second world war breaks and Indonesia is occupied by Japan, Batavia Polo Club disintegrated.
 
In 1992, Mr. Hashim S. Djojohadikusumo and Mr. James T. Riady reintroduce polo in Indonesia by building JPEC - Jakarta Polo and Equestrian Club - in Bukit Sentul Selatan. In 1992 Indonesia becomes a member of FIP - Federation of International Polo - with Mr. Hashim Djojohadikusumo as the chairman of Indonesia Polo Association.
 
Under the guidance of Mr. Subiyakto Cakra Wardaya as President of Indonesia Equestrian Association, Indonesia Polo Association is recognized as Indonesia Polo Commission under PP Pordasi still with Mr. Hashim Djojohadikusumo as chairman. Due to Mr. Hashim Djojohadikusumo’s business abroad, the development of polo in Indonesia stop to a complete halt in 2002.
 
In 2005, under the guidance of Army Leutenant General (Ret) Mr. Prabowo Subianto, Nusantara Polo Club is established. Nusantara Polo represents Indonesia for the first time in 2005 SEA Games Preliminary Round in Thailand grabbing the third place after Malaysia and Jordan. During this game, the six ASEAN countries: Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia agrees to make polo as an official game to be played in the XXIX SEA Games 2007 in Thailand. In 2007, The Indonesian Polo Association is re-established with Mr. R. M. Iman Kusumo as Chairman.
