Teori-teori Al-Arsuzi tentang masyarakat, bahasa dan nasionalisme, yang secara kolektif merupakan bagian dari pemikiran Ba'athis, menganggap bahwa [[Negara Arab]] akan dipersatukan saat bangsa Arab mendirikan kembali identitas Arab yang hilang sepanjang 1000 tahun lampau. Menurut al-Arsuzi, kunci penyatuan Arab adalah melalui bahasa. Kontras dengan [[bahasa Latin]], al-Arsuzi berpendapat bahwa bahasa Arab paling kurang terarbitrari dan paling lebih terintuisif. Disamping jasa-jasanya pada pemikiran Ba'athis, al-Arsuzi jarang disinggung cendekiawan Barat atau Arab. Hal ini diperkuat dengan kenyataan bahwa [[Sati' al-Husri]], seorang nasionalis Arab yang sezaman dengannya, telah memiliki beberapa gagasan serupa dengan al-Arsuzi namun lebih dapat mengartikulasikan mereka.
