Lajat terletak di bagian tenggara Siria, terbentang dalam area berbentuk segitiga antara garis 45 kilometer [[:en:Izra'|Izra']]-[[:en:Shahba|Shahba]] ke selatan sampai dekat [[:en:Burraq|Burraq]], garis 48 kilometer utara Izra'-Shahba dan 50 kilometer selatan [[Damaskus]].<ref name="EI593">{{cite book|last1=Gaube|first1=H.|editor1-last=Bosworth|editor1-first=C.
