W.E.B. Du Bois: Perbedaan antara revisi

Selama berada di Universitas Atlanta, Du Bois aktif dalam kegiatan publik dan politik. Tahun 1905, dia menghadiri satu acara di Buffalo, New York yang berhasil membentuk Pergerakan Niagara. Pergerakan itu adalah organisasi hak sipil antar ras yang mendukung penghapusan perbedaan derajat yang berdasarkan pada ras dan warna kulit. . Gerakan itu menjadi dasar bagi National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) pada tahun 1910. kelak Du Bois menjadi direktur riset dan publikasinya. Dia menerbikan majalan NAACP yaitu the Crisis dan banyak menulis di majalah itu tentang kesenjangan taraf hidup orang kulit hitam di Amerika. Du Bois menerima jabatan itu karena ada kesermpatan untuk menyebarkan idenya. Apalagi karena dia satu-satunya penanggung jawab untuk pendapat editorial di majalah itu. Tetapi jabatannya di Universitas Atlanta tidak dapat dipertahankan karena perselisihan dengan Booker T.
