The drama has several reverence to [[Antonio Gramsci]], Italian pioneer philosopher and Marxist on the idea of hegemony. Gramsci laid a foundation on the concept of hegemony and influenced by [[Niccolò Machiavelli]] and [[Karl Marx]]. Drama contrasts the social castes of the four main characters that come from two different backgrounds, one wealthy, and the other poor. Main theme of the drama is the antithesis of the proletariat and bourgeois.
