Hierarki menentukan pejabat mana yang akan menjalankan tugas Direktur apabila Direktur meninggal dunia, mundur, atau tidak mampu menjalankan tugasnya. Pejabat tersebut akan diberi gelar Pelaksana Tugas Direktur (''Acting Director'').
