Pada 2012 banyaksebagian besar kota beradamasih didalam bawahmasa konstruksipembangunan. Daerah perumahan, pada tahun 2012, memiliki beberapa gedung-gedung bertingkat yang dibangun untuk transplantasi. Pada saat itu daerah perumahan itu ditutup dari banyak daerah pemerintah di bawah pengembangan dan memiliki beberapa restoran, enam sekolah, dan satu toko kelontong. Pada 2012 Kota Sejong tidak memiliki museum dan tidak ada rumah sakit.<ref name=Harlan/>
