Olcott menjadi Presiden Perhimpunan Teosofi sampai kematiannya pada 17 Februari 1907.
Dua jalan utama di [[Colombo]] dan [[Galle]] diberi nama Olcott Mawatha, untuk mengenangnya. Sebuah patung dari dirinya dibangun di depan Stasiun Jalur Kereta Api Benteng Colombo.
