Tetapi jika sistem bintang [[Alpha Centauri]] dianggap sebagai satu objek, maka predikat tersebut harus diberikan kepada Alpha Centauri. Sistem bintang Alpha Centauri terdiri dari dua bintang terang yang sangat berdekatan sehingga tidak dapat dipisahkan oleh mata, dan dengan demikian akan tampak lebih terang dibandingkan Arcturus.
