Ong Keng Yong(lahir 1954)adalah diplomat Singapura. Dia telah menjadi sekretaris jenderal dari Asosiasi Negara-negara Asia Tenggara (ASEAN) sejak 6 Januari 2003. Ong telah dididik di Universitas Indonesia dan Universitas Georgetown. Dia memasuki pelayanan diplomatik Singapura pada tahun 1984. Selama sepuluh tahun, ia bekerja di Arab Saudi, Malaysia dan Amerika Serikat berturut-turut di Singapura kedutaan di negara-negara tersebut. Dari 1994 sampai 1996, dia adalah seorang juru bicara kementerian luar negeri. Dari 1996 hingga 1998, Ia duta besar dan komisaris tinggi dari Singapura ke India dan Nepal. Dari 1998 sampai 2002, dia bekerja sebagai aide penting untuk Perdana Menteri Goh Chok Tong, meninggalkan pekerjaan yang terlambat di tahun 2002 ketika ia terpilih sebagai sekretaris jenderal ASEAN.
Ong Keng Yong (born 1954) is a Singaporean diplomat. He has been the secretary-general of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations since January 6 2003.
 
Ong was educated at the University of Singapore and Georgetown University. He entered the Singaporean diplomatic service in 1984. For the next ten years, he worked in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and the United States successively at Singaporean embassies in those countries. From 1994 to 1996, he was a foreign ministry spokesman. From 1996 to 1998. he was ambassador and high commissioner of Singapore to India and Nepal. From 1998 to 2002, he worked as an important aide to Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, leaving that job late in 2002 when he was elected as secretary-general of ASEAN.
