'''Urochordata''' merupakan sebuah [[subfilum]] dari chordata. Urochordata berasal dari bahasa latin (Uro: ekor, chorda: batang penyokong tubuh dalam). Yang paling menonjol adalah tunicates laut squirts (kelas Ascidiacea). Berbagai macam urochordata hidup dalam koloni. Sebagian besar dari tubuh yang diduduki insang yang sangat besar dengan berbagai tekak insang slits yang berfungsi sebagai saringan untuk makanan.
