Buona sera Maulucioni, anche io non parlo l'italiano. What I mean is that "Philippine", here, should not be understood in the political sense of the word but as a linguistic designation because most of this group's languages are spoken in the Philippines. However, some languages of this group are spoken in Indonesia. Besides, since some linguists consider that Philippine languages and North Bornean languages are part of the same group, it can be useful to have a map showing both groups, Humboldt (bicara) 19:28, 1 Mei 2011 (UTC)
:Halo. I understand your point. But I don't advise to use Berkas:Borneo-Philippines.svg map in Rumpun bahasa Filipina article, maybe this file goes better in Bahasa Kalimantan-Filipina article. The case is if you read by the way en:Borneo-Philippine languages article, you'll see that these languages are a paraphyletic group of the Austronesian languages. Sources of Auckland University clearly indicate that philliphine and bornean languages do not form a clade. Anyway I recommend Berkas:Austronesian languages.PNG file, which may appear in some articles. Regards: --Maulucioni (bicara) 05:01, 6 Mei 2011 (UTC)
Hello too, I agree with your remarks. However, the problem with your proposed map is that it shows a subgrouping of :en:Malayo-Polynesian languages that not all linguists agree to... Humboldt (bicara) 19:31, 9 Mei 2011 (UTC)
