Caricatures are generally perceived as better likenesses of a person than the veridical images [10]. It is because the exaggeration of the distinctive feature in caricature emphasizes the features of the face and enhances the recognition. The distinctive features are important in face recognition and faces with unusual features are better recognized than more typical faces [11]. Caricature is not only used during recognized faces but also used to increase the amount of memorable information of the face encoded for later recognition [12]. Gillian Rhodes [13] found that line drawing caricatures can be better recognized than the veridical image but photographic caricature did not.
