Pada 31 Juli, dilaporkan bahwa Sistar akan merilis album studio pertama yang berjudul "''So Cool''" pada 9 Agustus. Di sebuha berita, dilaporkan bahwa Soyu menurunkan berat badan sebanyak 8kg untuk persiapan comeback mereka. Pada Maret 2012, Soyu meng-tweet bahwa Sistar akan melakukan comeback setelah 8 bulan merilis ''So Cool''. Ia juga berkata bahwa "''comeback kali ini berbeda dari kesuksesan mereka sebelumnya''".
