Flevorium diduga memiliki sifat-sifat gas mulia ketimbang sifat-sifat logam. Pada tanggal 29 Mei 2012 nama Flerovium telah disetujui oleh [[IUPAC]] setelah sebelumnya menggunakan nama ''Ununquadium''.
