Agama Hindu di Asia Tenggara memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap perkembangan budaya kawasan dan sejarahnya. Ketika aksara india diperkenalkan dari India, masyarakat Asia Tenggara memasuki zaman sejarah dengan membuat prasasti paling awal mereka sekitar abad 1 sampai 5 Masehi.[1]
