The Mamas and the Papas
The Mamas dan Papas adalah grup vokal folk rock Amerika Serikat yang aktif pada 1965 hingga 1968. Grup musik ini merupakan salah satu yang berpengaruh terhadap kontra-kebudayaan pada 1960an. Grup ini terdiri dari John Phillips, Denny Doherty, Cass Elliot, dan Michelle Phillips (née Gilliam).[2]

The Mamas dan Papas merilis total lima album studio dan 17 single selama empat tahun, enam di antaranya masuk tangga musik Billboard top 10, dan telah terjual hampir 40 juta rekaman di seluruh dunia.[3] Grup musik ini menjadi bagian dari Rock and Roll Hall of Fame pada tahun 1998 sebagai grup yang berpengaruh pada industri musik modern. Grup ini bersatu kembali secara singkat untuk proyek perekaman album People Like Us pada tahun 1971, tetapi kemudian bubar kembali.
