Northrop YB-49

Northrop YB-49 adalah prototipe pesawat pembom berat bertenaga jet dikembangkan oleh Northrop Corporation lama setelah Perang Dunia II untuk layanan dengan Angkatan Udara AS. YB-49 menampilkan desain sayap terbang dan pengembangan bertenaga jet dari Northrop XB-35 dan YB-35 bermesin piston sebelumnya. Kedua YB-49 sebenarnya keduanya merupakan konversi pesawat uji YB-35.

YB-49 tidak pernah masuk produksi. Karya desain yang dilakukan dalam pengembangan YB-35 dan YB-49 tetap terbukti berharga untuk Northrop dalam dekade kemudian yaitu perkembangan akhir dari pembom siluman B-2, yang mulai beroperasi pada awal 1990-an.
