Mata uang Romawi
Mata uang Romawi pada sebagian besar sejarah Romawi terdiri dari koin emas, perak, perunggu, orikalkum dan tembaga.[1] (Lihat: metalurgi Romawi) Dari pengenalannya pada masa Republik, pada abad ketiga, sampai zaman Kekaisaran, mata uang Romawi mengalami beberapa perubahan bentuk, denominasi, dan komposisi. Sebuah fitur persisten adalah debasemen inflasioner dan penggantian koin sepanjang abad. Contoh terkenalnya adalah pada masa setelah reformasi Diokletianus, Tren ini berlanjut sampai zaman Bizantium.
