Herman Wouk
Herman Wouk (/woʊk/; 27 Mei 1915 - 17 Mei 2019) merupakan seorang pengarang asal Amerika. Novel The Caine Mutiny yang dikarangnya tahun 1951 memenangkan Penghargaan Pulitzer untuk karangan Fiksi. Karangan novel lainnya seperti The Winds of War dan War and Remembrance, novel tentang sejarah Perang Dunia II, dan novel non-fiksi This Is My God, penjelasan tentang penganut Yahudi dari sudut pandang Ortodoks Kekinian, yang ditulis untuk orang Yahudi dan non-Yahudi. Buku-bukunya telah diterjemahkan ke dalam 27 bahasa.[1][1] Sejarawan, novelis, penerbit, dan kritikus berkumpul di Perpustakaan Kongres Amerika Serikat tahun 1995 untuk memperingati ulang tahunnya ke-80 dan menggambarkan Herman sebagai seorang Tolstoy asal Amerika.[2]
