Sanhedrin

Sanhedrin (bahasa Ibrani: סנהדרין; bahasa Yunani: συνέδριον,[1] synedrion) adalah dewan dari 23 hakim yang ditunjuk di setiap kota di Tanah Israel.[2] Sanhedrin Agung adalah pengadilan tertinggi Israel kuno, dengan jumlah anggota sebesar 71 orang.
Pada catatan Kristen dan peran Sanhedrin dalam penyaliban Yesus sering dianggap sebagai penyebab anti-Semitisme Kristen dan dianggap sebagai topik yang sensitif.
