suntingWelcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Picard's Facepalm, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Picard's Facepalm (bicara) 25 Maret 2024 13.55 (UTC)
- Hold up, it was you who deleted comments on your talk page, then you should have given this warning to yourself, shouldn't you? Stop slandering other user. 140.0.19.54 27 Maret 2024 10.21 (UTC)
- Yes, I managed comments on my own talk page. You decided to make changes to another user's talk page. This is a fact - and it is precisely what I stated above. Explain to me how stating that fact is slander??? Do you understand what the word "slander" means? The fact that you (and apparently others) think that this kind of conduct is ok - when in reality it is completely backwards from any sense of normal logic is absolutely mind-boggling.
- Let's look at it like this: I have a house, it has a yard. It is my house and my yard. Not yours. Not anybody else's. According to what you said above - you can come on to my yard and post a sign. Then you can leave my yard and the sign is still there. I come home later and I see this sign in my yard that I did not put there. Well - I think that sign is ugly and unnecessary, does not compliment my yard or my house. Even though the sign is in my yard and I did not put it there - and I want to remove it... apparently I cannot? BUT - I can then go to your house and put an ugly sign in your yard - and now you cannot remove it - from your own yard!
- Seriously - explain to me how you think this is ok, right, makes sense, or is remotely logical? If you truly feel that this is normal and you don't see anything wrong with it, and that this is what is culturally accepted - well, sadly it goes a long way to explain the extremely high emigration rates to places that don't have such backwards procedures and rules. Picard's Facepalm (bicara) 27 Maret 2024 14.27 (UTC)
- Still looks like a slander. You seemed to have no idea what the warning you threw really said. 140.0.19.54 28 Maret 2024 14.45 (UTC)
- Wait, your second paragraph sounds like a certain political entity in Middle East. Don't name it, or you would perhaps be accused of being antisemitic. 140.0.19.54 28 Maret 2024 14.48 (UTC)
- Really - politics is what you got out of this discussion? GTFO with that. I have no time for such nonsense here - despite the fact that your observation of my alignment is flatly incorrect.
- Seems you do not understand what slander is. Slander is orally making a false statement about someone. Written form is libel. It is important to know the difference. In either case - no false statements were made by me about you - or anyone else. The burden of proof to demonstrate otherwise falls on you.
- Lastly - I do see your edits where you made a statement about a user not being allowed to manage edits on their own user and talk pages on the English wiki. You are completely, 100% incorrect. With the exception of CURRENT block notifications - users are in fact welcome to edit their own talk pages however they wish. This includes discussion, warnings, and anything else. However - it is important that this does not mean you can re-factor other people's comments. Those other comments can be deleted outright - but they cannot be edited to change their meaning. Also - once a current block expires - those notifications can also be deleted. This is ALL documented at WP:TPG and WP:TPO and elsewhere. It would be important that you are aware of this especially if you edit at the engwiki- and that it was the founders intent across all of wikipedia for it be function in this manner.
- As for my being a newbie - nothing could be further from the truth. I have been a registered user for over 20 years and have tens of thousands of edits to my name(s) - over half of which are in fact in user page space.
- As a cherry on top - by deleting your previous comment on your talk page - by the standards a few of you have set here and what you have all done to me and accused me of - you have committed vandalism, and should be issued a warning as well as have that edit restored. Let's see how you react to that fact - and see if you do the right thing as you and your peers here have claimed. I'm betting you wont. Picard's Facepalm (bicara) 28 Maret 2024 15.26 (UTC)
- There's clear difference between deleting other users' comment and revoking own comment. But, yeah, you're mad after slandering other user falsely. That's what's happening here: You deleted others' comment and warnings -> I restored it -> You accused me of deleting comments on your talk page -> I told you that you have slandered me -> You're mad, and give an example that is similar to what Israel has done for decades -> I made 3 repliess, but revoked the third -> You thought removing someone else' comment is similar to revoking own comment -> I summarised what has happened so far, 140.0.19.54 28 Maret 2024 16.59 (UTC)
