Kain (tokoh Alkitab)
Kain[a] adalah tokoh Alkitab dalam Kitab Kejadian. Kain merupakan kakak laki-laki Habel, dan putra sulung Adam bersama Hawa, pasangan pertama dalam Alkitab.[2] Kain adalah seorang petani yang mempersembahkan hasil panennya kepada Allah. Namun, Allah tidak senang dan lebih menyukai hasil persembahan Habel daripada persembahan miliknya. Karena cemburu, Kain membunuh saudaranya, yang karenanya ia dihukum oleh Allah dengan kutukan dan tanda Kain. Kain memiliki beberapa anak, diantaranya Henokh hingga Lamekh.

Narasinya tidak jelas tentang apa motif Kain membunuh saudaranya, alasan Allah menolak persembahan Kain, dan rincian identitas istri Kain. Beberapa interpretasi tradisional menganggap Kain sebagai pembawa kejahatan, kekerasan, atau keserakahan. Menurut Kitab Kejadian, Kain merupakan manusia pertama yang dilahirkan sekaligus pembunuh pertama di dunia.
